***Resolving Cap Issues***
As we've clearly had numerous issues with teams being WAY over the cap and some GM's resisted making moves to correct the problems.
Since we don't ever want to cripple or damage a franchise, we will introduce a new system to correct these problems.
1. We will be significantly more diligent when processing trades to help avoid this problem.
2. Teams that manage to put themselves into cap trouble will be told how to resolve their cap issues.
3. If the GM shows a lack of interest in resolving cap problems, the Simmer will force player movement to correct the problem.
4. If roster moves won't solve the issue. The Mod team will select a roster player (quality of player vs. term) and take trade offers for the player and select the best one to resolve the cap issues while benefiting the future of the franchise. (Two of these trade auctions will happen before UFA opens this season.)
5. There is a plan for if no offers are made, but we'll worry about that if we manage to sink to that big of an issue
