We have the votes to proceed. So that is what we are doing.

I have purchased a roster file that is guaranteed complete with all players that have played a minimum of 10 players at either level. The guy i bought it from has a tremendous reputation, as i discovered as i researched before i bought.

I do need a handle on how may gm's are. I have a couple of guys who are currently awaiting a spot so some attrition is acceptable.

For those who chose not to participate, I understand. A lot of you have been playing this sim with me for a few years, so I'd like to say thank you for participating. I've seen and participated in a lot of sims that go up and disappear in a season or two, so I am proud of this sim and it's members. We have shown a resiliency that is uncommon in most sim leagues.

Why am i doing this? I have stated before that I am not in favour of a reboot. Believe it or not, this is still true to this day. This reboot is happening because there are many glitches I am finding in the sim that are likely attributable to the migration from V1, and I will be damned if I am just going to let GMSIM die. Were i armed with hindsight, i would have restarted when we switched versions.

Here is what i am striving to achieve with this reboot

1. Longetivity. With the proper rosters and a rerate level that doesn't jack a player up in three seasons
2. Ease with the sim. Injuries are being eliminated, thereby relieving the GM of constant line submissions

3. Consistency. We will be reinstituting the salary limitations for AHL teams.

4. Veritable absense of new rules: The rules here are in general very good. other than the salary limitations for AHL, the rules shall remain the same.

Once i have an acceptable number of GM's on board, we will start with a team selection.
